This week we demonstrate out thankfulness for all of the good stuff that we got to do in 2011 by bringing you one of the most comprehensive podcasts ever podcast, here, at The Podcast.
First, we bring you Dan McSurley, the head football coach of Clinton-Massie High School.
This weekend, Clinton-Massey will have their hands full with Maty Mauk and his high-flying team mates from Kenton High School. McSurley is tied one-to-one lifetime against the young Mauk, and this is the long-awaited rubber match.
The winner moves on to the 2011 D-IV final next weekend in Canton.
Clinton-Massie graduated one of the best classes in the history of the school last spring. Replacing those players wasn’t supposed to be easy for McSurley, and yet it obviously was, as can be attested to by their presence in the D-IV semi-final.
It should be an amazing game against Kenton.
We also have Tim Goodwin, the head coach of Marion Local High School on this week’s show.
Goodwin, the proud owner of four OHSAA D-VI state championship trophies already, is always up for a fifth and this weekend his Flyers face his arch rivals from Delphos St. John’s—the defending D-VI state champions—who are coached by Todd Schulte, for a shot at yet another final appearance.
Schulte, a repeat victim of the Podcast, has four state titles also.
Next, we’ll treat you to some midfield interviews with Andy Olds (the head coach of King’s High School), and Maurice Douglas (former Chicago Bear, and the head coach of Trotwood-Madison High School).
King’s and Trotwood-Madison met last weekend in what can only be described as an epic D-II regional final held at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium.
It was a great game and it can still be seen in all of it’s technicolor glory at MVPhd, courtesy of your friends at JJ Huddle.com, Miami Valley Sports Magazine, and the MVP Podcast.
You’ll love the interviews as well as the raucous post game atmosphere.
That’s a lot of stuff for one podcast, but you’ve come to expect more than that from your friends here at MVP International, so we are prepared to give you even more.
How about Tim Langevin to talk about last week’s MVPhd games of the week as well as the upcoming state semi-final games between Marion Local and Delphos St. John’s, and Springfield Shawnee versus Elida?
How about another installment of news bites from across the state from Tubby the Intern?
How about an extensive interview with Nate Moore, the young head coach of Minster High School?
He has been coaching in the Midwest Athletic Conference for just two years. Even so, he has somehow managed to get his team into the regional final in each of those seasons. With a record like that he deserves a spot on this week’s show—even if Minster did lost to Delphos St. John’s last weekend.
It’s an unbelievably detailed show and it is brought to you free of charge from your pals at JJ Huddle, Miami Valley Sports Magazine, MVPhd, and The MVP Podcast.
