Week three of the Ohio high school football season brings us another obnoxiously over-stuffed MVP podcast. Four guests and a discussion about this week’s game of the Week: Colerain versus St. Xavier.
Last year it was the battle for the right to play in the OHSAA Division I Southwestern Regional final against Wayne, and it was decided by a missed extra point by Colerain.
This year it is an early season grudge-fest that both teams and their cultures have eagerly waited for since last fall.
We have both Colerain’s Tom Bolden and St. X’s Steve Specht on this week’s show.
And we will bring more in the way of an extended pregame analysis by our blue-ribbon Podcast Panel as well.
But that simply isn’t good enough for a podcast anymore in our book so we’ll bring you more–if that is cool with you?
How about Tippecanoe’s veteran head coach Charlie Burgbacher, who we interview as his undefeated Red Devils (D-II) prepare to play their ancient rivals, the adjacent school district: the undefeated Milton Union Bulldogs (D-IV)?
Finally, we’ll have head coach Todd Schulte of defending D-VI state champion Delphos St. Johns High School who will tell us how that ‘reloading project’ is going.
They are 0-2 but they acquitted themselves well in both loses, both against strong opposition. They look like they could still be on a post season trajectory.
So, it looks like another killer MVP podcast and as always it brought to you free of charge by your pals at MVP podcast, Miami Valley Sports Magazine, and JJ Huddle.com.
No one is safe. We are spreading out and we are a serious threat to come to a game near you.
