* Outlook – The Flyers lost to MAC rival Delphos St. John’s in the D-VI state semifinals last year, but return enough talent to make the playoffs for the 12th time in 13 years. Marion Local has played in five state finals since 1999 and has four titles. The Flyers have holes to fill on offense, but Rosenback and Goettemoeller are vets. Keep an eye on sophomore QB Adam Bertke (6-4, 210). Homan anchors the defense, which head coach Tim Goodwin (128-36 career record) said will be a strength thanks to a seasoned corps of DBs and LBs. The return of FB/LB Logan Albers (6-2, 190, sr.) who was lost to an injury in Week 3 last year is big.
