There was some movement in the MVP Fab 5 Wrestling Rankings this week after the first round of the holiday tournaments. The big one, though, kicks off Tuesday at the Nutter Center with the GMVWA Holiday tournament.
Division I
1. Beavercreek – Despite missing some key components, Beavers finish in top 10 at SWOWCA. 2. Piqua – Strong 12th place finish at North Canton Hoover. 3. Fairmont – Handled Northmont in Firebird Alumni Duals. 4. Centerville – The Elks are missing some key components because of injury/alpha issues. 5. Northmont – Will look to bounce back from loss to Fairmont at Holiday.
Division II: 1. Graham – Placed eight in winning the Ironman. 2. Wapakoneta – Lost just two matches in 63-8 win over Celina. 3. Miami Trace – Rolled to 66-3 win over D-III ranked Clinton Massie. 4. Oakwood – Handled Lexington in winning their own tourney. 5. Greenville – Veterans stepping up to lead Wave.
Division III:
1. Dixie – Continued to show their depth and strength at Troy Christian. 2. Carlisle – Was in the battle at the top at Troy Christian. 3. Versailles – Handed Covington 50-18 set back in finals at Versailles Invite. 4. Covington – Finished second at Versailles. 5. Troy Christian – Finished an impressive sixth at own invite.
