It didn’t take Travis Trice Jr. much time to mull over his offer he received today from Michigan State. According to his father (Travis Trice Sr.), he quickly gave a verbal commit to Head Coach Tom Izzo.
Trice (6’0/2011) of Huber Heights Wayne started to gain interest from the Spartans thanks to his fabulous play in July. Trice shot the ball lights out in Orlando (FL) at the AAU Nationals and also in Wisconsin at the NY2LA Summer Jam.
Michigan State started to recruit the Wayne guard after seeing him on several occasions while recruiting Trice’s AAU teammate Brandon Dawson. Ironically, Dawson committed to the Spartans today as well.
Trice picked Spartans over offers from Minnesota, Richmond, Creighton, Ohio University, Dayton, Toledo, and Northern Iowa.
Trice averaged 22 points per game for the Warriors as a junior.
