Thanks to a huge fourth quarter, Carroll just made the Girls Greater Cincinnati League Grey North Division race that much more interesting. Three teams can now potentially tie for the title.
The Patriots, who oustcored the host Knights 16-7 in the final eight minutes, handed Alter a 55-45 setback in a key GGCL game.
With the win, the Patriots improved to 13-6 overall and 8-2 in the division, good enough to clinch a share of the divisional title. Carroll’s win also assured Chaminade Julienne a share of the title too. The Eagles are 14-5, 8-2.
Alter, which had a chance to win the championship outright, can clinch a share itself with a win over Purcell Marian on Saturday. The Knights are 16-2, 7-2.
