Get excited Sports Darlings! It’s tournament time. And that means another edition of the Girls Division IV Sidney Sectionals – 11 grueling games in a four-day period from February 20-27, where 2,000 fans try to cram into 1,800-seat Sidney High School Gymnasium.
And this year promises to be no different than previous years. There will be story lines of contenders and pretenders, heroes and unlikely heroes, upsets and shockers, and plenty of near misses.
Who will wear the glass slipper? Who will hold the district trophy? Will Fort Loramie head coach Carla Siegel and her Lady Hoopsters punch their ticket to Columbus? Will Versailles make it four straight trips to state? These questions and more will play out like a paperback novel.
