The MVP Fab 5 Football Rankings: Week 4
Another week and some more shuffling. And we’ve got one new No. 1 – and they lost on Friday.
That’s how crazy this season has been so far.
Division I
1. Centerville (2-1): You lose and jump two spots to No. 1? Coming within a last second field goal of the No. 22 team in the country will do that. Elks future looks promising.
2. Wayne (2-1): Warriors relinquish top spot after big loss to Cleveland Glenville. Just wasn’t in the cards.
3. Northmont (1-2): Another tough road loss, but this one is a lot more shocking. Still think T-Bolts schedule nets them high praise.
4. Springboro (3-0): Panthers just keep on winning. Big road win over Piqua is impressive..
5. Beavercreek (3-0): Verdict is still out on the Beavers, but at this point of the season, undefeated IS undefeated.
Division II
1. Tecumseh (3-0): Arrows are rolling. Get out the way.
2. West Carrollton (3-0): Surprise? Yes. Same thing we said last week. Dare we say 4-0? 0-3 Greenville awaits.
3. Trotwood-Madison (2-1): Rams handed Lebanon its first loss. Big game with Wayne looms.
4. Carroll (1-2): Still waiting to see something special from the Patriots.
5. Sidney (1-2): Yellow Jackets two losses are to Bellefontaine and Beavercreek. This week’s game with Miamisburg looks like a must-win.
Division III
1. Bellefontaine (3-0): Chieftains still rocking and rolling. Suddenly 9-0 heading into Week 10 showdown with Tecumseh looks like reality.
2. Eaton (2-1): Eagles rebound from loss to St. Henry with rout of Greenon.
3. Graham (2-1): Falcons continue to fly high. Nick VanHoose is a machine.
4. Tippecanoe (2-1): Red Devils handed Milton-Union its first loss – on the Bulldogs home field no less.
5. Monroe (2-1): Hornets handed Valley View its first loss in decisive fashion.
Division IV
1. Alter (3-0): The Knights mowed down St. John’s from Washington, D.C.. Next?
2. Clinton-Massie (3-0): The Falcons outlasted Jonathan Alder. Finally they get a breather this week with undefeated Hillsboro. Look for Massie to win big.
3. Ottawa-Glandorf (3-0): The Titans keep on winning.
4. Carlisle (3-0): Indians roll Oakwood.
5. Thurgood Marshall (3-0): Look who is undefeated…Cougars roaring.
Division V
1. St. Henry (3-0): Redskins are on a mission.
2. Anna (3-0): See St. Henry.
3. Coldwater (3-0): See Anna. Big game with Marion Local this week looms.
4. West Liberty-Salem (3-0): Tigers have allowed 10 points in three games.
5. Versailles (2-1): Tigers played Coldwater tough. Now they get St. Henry.
Division VI
1. Delphos St. John’s (3-0): To quote Johnny Cash, “I hear the train a coming…”
2. Marion Local (3-0): Flyers win. Plain and simple. Coldwater next on docket.
3. Ansonia (3-0): Tigers shut out National Trail 44-0. CCC favorites?
4. Fort Loramie (3-0): The Redskins keep on winning. Loramie being 6-0 is not hard to imagine.
5. Southeastern (3-0): The Trojans have already matched last year’s win total.
